Facebook launches 'permissions' for apps, websites

Facebook is coming out a new feature that will require third parties applications and website to tell users exactly what and which parts of their profiles have to be shared for the applications to work.

Third parties applications had to ask users to access anything in their profiles that was not public. But those services did not have to specify what infomation they were using. Those information might include your photos, friends' birthdayor email address.

With the new policy, the third policy services will aspects of a profile they will access, but the facebook ysers will not be able to pick out which pieces they want to grant access to. They can only either grant permission or disallow the application from working.
