An airport card is a small wireless card developed by Apple to help increase the wireless capabilities of its line of Macbook laptops. These particular cards are not compatible with PC laptops or any other product outside the Apple line of computers. How to install an Airport Card?
Find the available port slot on your Macbook computer. This is a small silver slot that is protected by a flap that can be pressed up when an item, such as the airport card, is inserted.
Slide the Apple airport card into the port slot. You are going to feel the card click into the computer. This means the airport card has been properly inserted
Power up your Macbook computer. Wait for the operating system to finish loading up and select the Intnernet connection option on the upper right corner of the screen
Click the "Airport Mode" option. This turns the airport mode and airport card on. In a moment you should see a list of available wireless Internet connections.
Click on the Internet connection you want to connect to. If a password is required to access the connection, you will be asked for it now. Enter the password and click "OK" and the the Internet connection for your Macbook is complete
